Translators participating in the Proton Translation Project operate on an independent voluntary non-remunerated basis. Participation in the project is subject to Proton’s discretionary approval and shall not create a working relationship between the translators and Proton. Proton may at any time and discretionarily remove a translator from the project, especially in case of lack of ethical conduct.
Owing to your participation in the Proton Translation Project, you may have access to confidential/non-public information regarding Proton’s current, future and/or potential products/services, such as Proton Mail, Proton VPN, Proton Drive, etc. By participating in the project, you agree that during your participation and afterwards, you will keep such information confidential and not disclose it to third parties without the express prior written consent of Proton, unless legally required to do so by a court or a State authority of competent jurisdiction.
By participating in the Proton Translation Project, you also agree (i) with the processing by Proton of your personal data, in accordance with Proton Privacy Policy, and (ii) with the processing of such data by the providers of the following software/SaaS, which are used in the Proton Translation Project: Crowdin (Computer Assisted Translation Tool where texts can be translated and proofread by linguists), Crowdin Enterprise (Computer Assisted Translation Tool where texts can be translated and proofread by linguists), Discourse (A forum used for communication) and Typeform (Web-based tool where users can provide answers to surveys).
The substantive laws of Switzerland are exclusively applicable, without giving regard to its conflict of laws rules. The ordinary courts of Geneva, Switzerland, shall have exclusive jurisdiction, an appeal before the Swiss Supreme Court being reserved.
